Meet Gloria
Gloria Olsson believes that treatment and wellness come from caring for the whole person. She has always been interested in health and wellness. Her journey started when she was a young girl playing sports and being active with her family. At an early age, her dad instilled the importance of having an active lifestyle.
She earned her first bachelor’s degree which focused on dance and health promotion. After she graduated, she had a strong desire to do more in caring for people in their health and wellness journey. She went back to school to pursue a career in nursing at the University of Nevada, Reno, and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Nursing. After graduation, she moved to Seattle where she started as a nurse at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Over the next 10 years, Gloria’s career took her through a variety of settings where she cared for individuals of all ages in a variety of environments. Throughout her journey she has continued to gain a passion and a strong desire to educate and care for individuals, to help them gain access to living healthier lives.
Gloria’s experiences continued to grow her passion for quality care. As a result, she went back to school to obtain a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Gonzaga University. She wanted to be part of making a difference in the lives of individuals and families, to help them understand health and wellness. After obtaining her DNP, she worked in primary care and gained an even greater passion to help people in all walks of life.
Now, more than ever, she believes that pursuing health and wellness is not only important, it is necessary, especially when faced with Diabetes. Using her experiences in a wide variety of health care systems and throughout her healthcare journey, she is excited to share her knowledge and passion to help individuals live healthy lives.
